Recycling for charity – the ultimate karma combination? Want to do your bit for our environment and support a charity at the same time?  Here’s a guide to the main phone and gadget recycling charities.

How exactly does charity mobile phone and gadget recycling work?

As most electronics are able to be recycled these days, many charities have started mobile phone and gadget collection campaigns, helping to raise vital funds.  Most charities will send out bags, in which you can pop your used gadget or mobile phone. Other than having to walk to a post box, that is about it – no postage charge.

The phone will then be sent directly to a recycling centre, with the charity you have chosen to support receiving funds from the recycling centre for each gadget received. Simple and straightforward! An alternative to the bag, you can easily pop your phone into an envelope and complete the address yourself from the details listed on the charitys website. Other ways to deliver your phone is by leaving it in charity shop collection bins.

And who offers charity mobile phone recycling?

or…where do we start?! With a long list of charities involved in this scheme, you are bound to find a charity of your choice.
